Urticaria is a common skin disease. It is a reactive vascular disease of the skin and mucous membranes caused by various reasons. In terms of treatment, traditional Chinese medicine advocates to tonify Qi and consolidate the surface, clear damp-heat, dispel wind and relieve itching, nourish blood and promote circulation, and activate blood and dispel stasis. Here are several dietary therapy methods for urticaria (the information is for reference only, please consult a doctor for specific details).
    1. Fresh Lily Root Cold Drink
    [Dietary Recipe]: 200g fresh lily root, 10g fresh peppermint leaves, 10g white sugar.
    [Efficacy]: Cooling blood, dispelling wind, and relieving itching. It is used to treat urticaria caused by blood heat, with red rashes, burning sensation, itching, dry mouth, restlessness, fever, and red tongue with yellow coating.
    [Preparation]: Wash and peel the lily root, cut into small pieces and juice it. Crush the fresh peppermint leaves with white sugar. Add water to the lily root juice to make it 200ml, drink it frequently.
    2. Beef and Pumpkin Strips
    [Dietary Recipe]: 300g beef, 500g pumpkin.
    [Efficacy]: Strengthening the body, preventing wind. It is used to treat urticaria caused by wind and cold, with light-colored rashes in the form of papules, worsened by cold.
    [Preparation]: Stew the beef until 70% cooked, remove and cut into strips. Peel and remove the seeds of the pumpkin, wash and cut into strips. Stir-fry the pumpkin with the beef.
    3. Black Snake Soup
    [Dietary Recipe]: 1 black snake, ginger, cooking wine, salt, moist starch.
    [Efficacy]: Dispelling wind, promoting blood circulation, calming the nerves. It is used to treat chronic urticaria caused by deficiency of qi and blood, frequent recurrence, poor appetite, dull complexion, poor sleep, and fatigue.
    [Preparation]: Clean the black snake, put it in a clay pot, add an appropriate amount of water, and add ginger and cooking wine. Boil it with high heat, remove the foam, then simmer the snake with low heat until it is cooked. After cooling, remove the snake. Tear the snake meat into thin strips by hand, put the shredded snake meat back into the original pot of soup, add salt for seasoning, boil it with high heat, and add moist starch.
    [Usage]: Eat it as a condiment, once every other day, for 3-5 times.
    4. Corn Silk with Sweet Rice Wine
    [Dietary Recipe]: 30g corn silk, 100g sweet rice wine, a little sugar.
    [Efficacy]: Clearing heat and resolving rashes. It is used to treat urticaria with a tendency of wind-heat, with red rashes, burning sensation, itching, aggravated by heat, alleviated by cold, accompanied by fever and dry mouth.
    [Preparation]: Put the corn silk in an aluminum pot, add an appropriate amount of water, boil for 20 minutes, remove the corn silk, then add sweet rice wine, boil it and add sugar for seasoning.
    [Usage]: Take it twice a day, one dose each time.
    Dietary Dos and Don'ts for Urticaria
    Generally, foods that are prone to cause allergies include: food proteins, preservatives, seasonings, and color additives, including: fish, shrimp, crab, shellfish, chicken, duck, goose, pork, beef, lamb, horse meat, dog meat, rabbit meat, bamboo shoots, garlic sprouts, spinach, eggplant, tomatoes, lemons, mangoes, plums, apricots, strawberries, fruit wine, grape wine, yellow wine, white wine, etc., as well as eggs, milk, chocolate, cheese, etc. The diet should consist of foods that clear heat and promote dampness, such as mung beans, adzuki beans, amaranth, water spinach, purslane, winter melon, cucumber, and lettuce.
